Put the message in a bottle
The children can write a letter for their mothers in a sheet of paper. The letter should contain the child's best memories with his/her mother, he should give reasons and say why the child loves his mother so much, describe the special qualities that the mother possesses. The letter can also be a thank you letter in which the child can express his gratitude for the mother.
The letter can be decorated with paintings, crayon works, stickers etc. the letter has to be rolled up and tied with a ribbon and placed inside the bottle. The bottle will have a cork and the cork has to be placed at the mouth once the letter is inside. When they return home they will give their mothers the message contained inside the bottle.
A banner for their mothers
A chart paper has to be bought. The color of the chart paper has to be the favorite color of their mother. Then the word MOTHER has to be written vertically in bold letters using a different color which is highlighted on the background of the paper. Against each letter of the word MOTHER a quality has to be written describing the mother. For example for M has to be written for aMazing etc.
The teacher can make a hook out of a ribbon and fix it with glue. Dry it in class and once it has dried up take it home. This is their personalized banner for their mothers and their mother's day gift.
A flower pot
A plastic flower pot will be handled to each student. With the help of decorative foam cut out the letters that make MOM'S FLOWERS. They can also cut out many different shapes and sizes. These can be hearts, flowers, suns etc. the entire flower pit has to be covered with these things of decoration. Give each student flower seeds to place inside the pot. The pot has to be filled with these flower seeds. The pot is ready to be given to the mothers as a mother's day present.

Children are always curious about everything. Tell them the background regarding mother's day. As they are very small, they have to be informed in a very simple manner. Tell them about the Greeks in an easy manner, like telling them a story. Tell them how founded mother's day. When they will go home they will surely tell them all these new things they have learned.
