Everyone loves to send and receive Christmas cards, but this the question on how to display them. It can be challenging if you find yourself receiving quite a few and little space for displaying. Luckily, with just a touch of creativity, you can share all your holiday greetings easily around the home.

Many people like to keep it simple by just hanging their greetings around the doorframes and mantles. This is common because it is so easy; all it takes is a thumbtack or some tape. Some even enjoy hanging them on large windows, like glass doors, to give the room a festive touch.

Use your imagination and create a card tree to hang on the wall or set on a tabletop. All you need is a large piece of cardboard cut into the shape of a triangle and some green felt or fleece to cover it. Take some craft supplies like ribbon and sequins to decorate the "tree" before you attach any holiday greetings. When done, use tacks or straight pins to hold each card on the tree.

Another idea is a family tree, winter-style. Draw and cut out a large winter tree with lots of different shaped branches on white or brown poster board. When you are done, just hang it on a wall or a door so everyone can see it. Use large paperclips to attach a card here and there on the branches.

Get creative with a display that will hold dozens of greetings by making an oversized candy cane. This is easily done with a large piece of poster board, cardboard or Styrofoam cut into the shape of a large candy cane that fits the height of a doorframe. Decorate with candy cane stripes and add some red ribbons or mini-candy canes to spruce it up and then attach to the doorframe. To attach your greetings, use large red paperclips or red tacks.

Another card tree idea can be done with your summer tomato cage. Create the shape by duct taping the top prongs together in a point and then covering with some green wrapping paper. Use a strip of the same paper for the bottom of the tree. Attach each card with mini clothespins or clips all around it to create an adorable new decorative card tree.

Card carousels are whimsical, fun, and super easy to make. Buy a spiral notebook, an artist's sketchbook works best, and tape or glue a card to each page, front and back. When you have everything glued or taped in place, turn the book on its side, and open until the front and back covers meet. To keep the pages open, use red pipe cleaners threaded through the binding between each page.

Finding ways to display all the holiday greetings you receive calls for a little bit of creativity and imagination. Let the kids help you in making different types of displays to hang your Christmas cards on. The challenging part may be in wanting more cards so you can make more displays.
